OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ( NOT AVAILABLE AS OF THE MOMENT)

Therapy begins with a comprehensive assessment, to looks at a child’s strengths and challenges, and the tasks that child has trouble with. Then the therapist will then create a program of activities for the child to work on, tailored to a child’s specific needs.

Average sessions consist of a minimum of one to three hours per week and take place in a range of settings. Parents and caregivers will be trained to use principles at home in everyday activities and interactions.

Key elements:
💁Heavy focus on the developmental areas of each child.
💁Errorless learning through immediate and frequent prompts that are later reduced once successful
💁Immediate reinforcement
💁Situations and instructions varied to sustain individual’s interest
💁Noticeable improvements immediately

INCLUSION PROGRAM

Jumpyard Playschool offers an inclusive educational experience where preschool-aged children with disabilities are educated with non-disabled peers. Inclusion classrooms use innovative curricula with individualization for every student based on each child’s growth and development, and the classroom provides a higher student-to-teacher ratio than required for other programs.

Students are expected to learn the same material as the rest of the class but with modifications in the course and adjustments in the assessment. The students are may/or may not necessarily expected to show improvement in their social skills and improvement in their academic performance.

Children with disabilities are assigned to Inclusion through the Team Evaluation Process and have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

In this way the program aims to meet the needs of all children as outlined by Dep Ed requirements for early childhood education.

Mainstreaming requires a child to deal and adjust in the class on his own; inclusion classrooms have a team of specialists supporting the child. (Sessions in VBT/ABA/OT/PT/ SLP is recommended for IEP Students)
